By Interviewer at 01/02/08 06:17

Name of your website?

Sapcon Instruments

Your name?

Ashwin Palshikar

Your Location (city, etc)

Indore

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Ours is a B2B business house and we manufacture level instruments. Level instruments, as the name suggests, are used to measure the level of a liquid/solid or literally any service material in a tank/sump/process or storage plant.

We manufacture level instruments for many applications and these instruments can stand the rigorous test of temperature and pressure variations. We manufacture large sized as well as compact level instruments.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The nature of the web itself was a great inspiration. It is easy to spread ides through the internet. Our website is pretty new, but our focus is well beyond our company product promotion. We are looking forward to easing the life of industrial workers by giving them correct tips, instrumentation checking practices, calculators and better deals.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Our website was launched in 2005 and it was about our company; Sapcon Instruments.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's our company name and tyhe word instrument and that is what we manufacture

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Trust and dependability of the products. We have been selling level sensors to all top companies involved in process engineering in India. May it be Unilever, reliance industries, Gujrat Ambuja, just to name a few.

Another srtong point about our company is the operational efficieny. We can quote prices that are way below other international manufactures without a compromise in quality.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I already tol that above.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The rewards and recognition both are now increasing.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We have many plans which include setting up alternative sites that serve as data aggregators. Within our site, we want to install a shopping cart and are studying the feasibility.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Hopefully, yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Shipping and taxes (well we aren't alone on ythis front.)

What has been your biggest challenge?

Finding successful advertising mediums with knowing their return on investment

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Many including banner advertising and email marketing.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not very much

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Always

What is your website address?

Sapcon Instruments
